Dew: Hey guys. You might be desperately wondering why there’s no Year of the Cow updates for three weeks straight (and then some).
To tell you the truth, I’m currently studying to get my permanent driver’s license so I could get a job for the summer (if I can find one that’s right for me) and go to college in the Fall this year to make my parents and brother proud. :3
Yesterday, I figured out how to manage my time on the internet better. (Better than being there all day waiting for something. ^^;; Chores and errands come first, internet later. :3 )
As far as updates and new pages go, they’ll have to come later once I’ve gotten through all this, and I’ll make an announcement when I’m ready to come back. ^^ So please be patient and in the meanwhile, take your time to see what we have so far.
I won’t be slacking on practicing art while I’m away either. My writer will come up with some exercises to practice on for the time being, and I’ll be able to take what I learn from them to improve my artwork! (As long as I have the time to do so.)
Simon: I too have also been going through a lot lately myself. I currently don’t really have a stable source of income, and despite my skill set, the job market is very rigid and competitive right now. I still haven’t given up hope on finding full time paying work, but until I do get some, I have to set my priorities straight (just like Dew) and focus on the most important ones. (And unfortunately, since Year of the Cow doesn’t make me or Dew any money, we have to put it low on the totem poll.)
I’m sorry for the delay in new pages of the comic, but sometimes that’s the way the cookie crumbles. But just like how Dew will practice her art exercises to increase her drawing capabilities, I’ll be working on coming up with story scripts, ideas, and also compiling a sort of “Manual” for how the world of Year of the Cow works.
I want to thank everyone who has read what we have put up so far, and who have taken an interest in the series. I hope that when we come back, we’ll be able to bring you a better looking, more polished comic than you’ve seen so far.
Tentatively, we hope to be back sometime this Fall, and once we have more details and a plan, we’ll be sure to let you know. Thank you so much for reading, and we look forward to seeing you back again this fall.
Meanwhile, feel free to read all the wonderful comics here on Petite Symphony! You’ll be able to find our announcement easier by following the website, and enjoy some great comics while you wait!
See you in September! (tentatively)
